There are 4 major utilities that most people need to make a piece of property live-able. 

1.  Electricity - Florida Power & Light serves the area around Interalchen - 800-226-5885.  Typically you need to have an electrician install a power pole and a meter and then the power company will run lines to your meter and activate service.

2.  Water - there is no city water service in this area.  Residents can install a well for drinking water.  There are several contractors in the Interlachen or Palatka area that can provide quotes for this.   A well permit is required from the county for this. 

3.  Sewer/Waste Water - there is no waste water service in this area.  A septic tank is required to handle waste water.  There are several local contractors that can provide quotes on installing a septic system.  A septic permit is required from the county for this. 

4.  Gas - not everybody needs gas service but some people prefer gas for certain uses.  There are no gas lines servicing this area.  A propane tank can be installed and filled by a local propane contractor.
